Who operates Ticketa

Ticketa is part of the Distinct App platform (distinct-app.com), operated by DNF Financial Services (Pty) Ltd, trading as Distinct. See the platform Legal hub for full company details and the Information Officer's contact details.

Information we collect

To create an account, book tickets, or run an event on Ticketa, we collect:

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• Booking, ticket, and event information
• Payment status and transaction references (see Payments below)
• If you organise events: your organiser profile, event listings, and payout details

How we use your information

We use it to process bookings, issue and check in tickets, run the events and performer/venue listings you interact with, provide support, and communicate with you about bookings you've made. Booking confirmations and check-in details are sent to you as part of delivering the service you asked for, not as marketing.

Payments

Ticketa's checkout currently runs in sandbox / test mode — no live payment gateway is connected yet, and no real card or banking details are collected or processed through it. When online payment processing goes live, payments will be handled by our payment provider, and this notice will be updated to name the provider and describe what it processes before that happens.

Sharing information

We share your booking details with the event's organiser so they can deliver the event and manage check-in, and with service providers who help us run the platform. We don't share your information with unrelated organisers or businesses on the platform.

Marketing

Any marketing communications from Ticketa or an event organiser are sent only if you've opted in, separately from your booking. You can withdraw that consent at any time via our data request form.

Your information

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and to object to how we use it, subject to applicable law. Submit a request through our Data Request form.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information and restrict access to authorised users and service providers.
